The Experimental Icing Database represents one central hub for aircraft icing data and a unique resource for academia, scientists and industry to validate 3D numerical tools. It covers a large set of test specimens tested with and without ice protection systems in defined weather conditions. The database contributes to the development of more efficient, more sustainable and safer aircaft systems. It was developed as part of the European research project ICE GENESIS.
